November 2010

This weekend Adam and I let Katherine babysit Jackson while we went to the LSU/Ole Miss ballgame. We got to thinking on the way down that it has been quite some time since we spent an entire day alone together....like well over a year! We had such a good time. Katherine was so excited about having both he and Emma all day! She said he was such a good boy. On Sunday we had our family Thanksgiving with my mom. It is always so great to see everyone. I love seeing Jackson, Emma, Colton, and Avery together. My grandmother seems to get so excited to see all the great-grandbabies too. Here are a few pics from the weekend.

Halloween 2010

We had so much fun this Halloween. Jackson dressed as a train conductor. He was just so cute! We went to Boo at the Zoo on Thursday and then trick or treated at the Kirklands'. Jamie drove us around on a hayride behind the tractor. All the kids loved it! Here are a few pics.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch in Poplarville. Jackson had so much fun. It was funny to see how last yearhe was so interested in the pumpkins and corn pit, not this year though. All he wanted to do was slide and do the duck race. My mom came and went with us. It was such a nice day!

Field Trip

We went on a field trip to the park for grandparent's day. Mawmaw went with us. It was so much fun but very hot! Watching Jackson play with his friends is so cute.

More pics from the beach

Beach Trip 2010

Adam, Jackson, Bentley, and I went to Gulf Shores to the condo this past week. We had such a wonderful, relaxing time. Jackson did not care to much for the actual beach this year. As soon as the sand touched his feet he said, " I NEED a rag!" That is sooo him. I took him out in the water while I held him and he liked jumping the waves. We spent lots of time at the pool playing. He had lots of new toys waiting on him thanks to Deboux and PaPa. A little boy at the pool had this helicopter that he loaned Jackson to play with. Jackson talked about it all day and night. On our way home from the Naval Museum we stopped to look for a helicopter with no luck. The next day at the pool the same family was there with the helicopter. They then told us it was a 30 year old toy that had been the mothers....no wonder we couldn't find one! Jackson made his first trip to Hooters, thanks to Adam coaching him. I hope he doesn't go talking about that at school. He also loved playing at The Track. Here are some pics from the week.

Jackson and Emma

This past weekend Jackson and I went to stay in St. Francisville. We had so much FUN! He and Emma were so cute together. Katherine and I stayed exhausted. We took them to Blue Bayou and a movie. Here are a few pics from the weekend. Just look how tall Jackson looks in that stroller. He thought is was hilarious when we put him in it. I just wish I could have captured on video Jackson telling us "Come on guys" at church on Sunday.

Fort JacksonE

My neighbor got some new patio furniture and I asked her if we could have the giant box that it came in. Jackson and I made a fort in the backyard. He then wanted to turn it into a pirate ship! Pirates are his other favorite thing. We went to story time at the Library the other day and the lady let Jackson pick the book to read. He yelled a PIRATE book! We checked the book out after story time and have read it 20 times already. Here is a pic of Emma and Jackson in the tub. They were just too cute!!

Catching up

Jackson is just such a big boy these days. We are almost now two weeks diaper free! He did really well with his potty training. His new favorite thing is the movie Cars. We have watched it so many times. He has all the little cars to play with at home. We can't go anywhere without Lighting McQueen. The other day he told me he didn't want to drive backwards like Mater do! I knew then we had watched to movie one to many times. We recently got a new swing set. It took Adam and I 16 hours it construct it with help from Micah and "Uncle" Tim. It is so nice though and Jackson just loves it. We have also been enjoying the pool. I haven't captured any photos because we are ALWAYS in the water! Jackson's class also went on a field trip to the zoo. We played at the park and had a picnic afterwards. They had so much fun. Here are a few photos from the day. I finally got a picture of Jackson, Carter, and Jacoby. They are big buds!

Easter pics

We had such a great Easter. Jackson attended several egg hunts. He is so much like Adam. He was so slow getting the eggs. He would pick up one, examine the contents, then move on to the next one. He has loved talking about the Easter bunny, but after taking him to meet the bunny at the mall his opinion changed drastically! He then decided he didn't so much want the Easter bunny to come to his house. We left some lettuce for the Easter Bunny. Jackson came down the stairs Sunday morning and the empty plate caught his eye. He yelled, "That Easter bunny ate all the lettuce." It was so cute!

Zoo in New Orleans

Boy did we have a long day at the zoo in New Orleans! That is a big place. We had a very fun time. Jackson loved the elephants and the sea lions. He is getting so big and smart! He informed us that Panda's eat bamboo... That Diego is a good teacher!

Park and Zoo

Two weekends ago Adam and I took Jackson to the Hattiesburg Zoo and Kamper Park. He had so much fun. All he wanted to do was ride the train! We convinced him that you had to walk through the zoo to get to the train. He kept telling all the animals bye! He was on a mission to get to the train. He loved the park too. I was such a pretty day!
