Mom goes back to work!

We had a very big week. I went back to work. Boy was is hard. It was much harder on me than it was on Jackson. He had lots of fun with Mrs. Shirley on Wed. and Aunt Care-Care babysat on Thurs. We know he loved that. Adam and I went to a crawfish boil on Saturday night and Deboux and Aunt Care-Care took care of Jackson. Here are a few pics from that night. Jackson is really getting going with the cooing now. Sometimes instead of crying it sounds like he is just letting you have it. It is so funny. He is also starting to bat at his toys and hold on to them for a little bit. We are trying to get him to like tummy time. We bought him a new little mat and mirror to look play with. We will see how that works.

Snugli time

Yesterday Jackson and I rode with Aunt Care-Care to her house to measure the windows. He loves to be in his little Snugli. He is getting so big. I am glad he loves to ride in it because it sure helps out!!! Look close at his right hand- wonder where he gets that from.

Christening

We had Jackson's Christening today. It was such a beautiful service. He did so good!! We had all of our close friends and family there to celebrate with us. Jackson's godparents are his Uncle Tommy and Aunt Katherine. After the service we came back to our neighborhood clubhouse for a reception. It started off a little rocky when Jackson decided to make a HUGE mess in his gown and carseat. I will not go in to detail, but it took about 5 people to get him cleaned up. A big thanks to everyone for that!! Otherwise everything went great. Jackson received lots of special gifts from everyone to remember this special day. We are truly so blessed.

Jackson has been playing so much this week. He is very busy with his hands. He now puts everything in his mouth. Here is a pic of him sitting up like a big boy in his bumbo chair.

Party at my house

We had some friends over this weekend for a barbque. The kids had such a great time. Aubrey,
Rylee, and Taylor played so much. Jackson sat in his swing and took it all in. I can't wait until he can join in the fun. Here are a few pics from the night!!

First Play Date

Jackson's cousin Rylee came over yesterday afternoon. They were so cute together. Rylee had fun dancing and clapping to The Wiggles. Jackson enjoyed the music and had some tummy time. I wanted to send some cute photos that show how the play date ended. These little ones are just sooo cute!!!

Getting ready for baptism

Last night we went to a class to prepare for Jackson's baptism. He looked so cute. Adam and I are so excited about it. We are looking forward to everyone coming to town. Jackson is getting more social everyday. He is just so cute when he wakes up. He starts smiling as soon as he sees you. Here is a picture of him in a little outfit that Tina, Lauren, and Carly gave him when we found out we were pregnant. It has a little puppy in the pocket of the overalls. I guess Jackson thought is was some kind of pacifier because he treated it like one all afternoon.

Weekend home

We went back home this weekend for the first time with Jackson. Jackson did so good on the ride over. It was the first long trip the two of us have taken by ourselves. Aunt Lauren came to spend the night with us on Friday night. We visited Aunt Kat and Pappi on Saturday. Aunt Bet and Kelli came to see our cute little man. Jackson seemed to become so social over the weekend. He is smiling and cooing all the time. He also lauged out loud for the first time. We went to mass and lunch in Zachary with PawPaw. It was just the best weekend.

10 week picture

10 week update

We went to the pediatrician on Monday. The doctor said Jackson is doing great. He weighs 13 lbs 2 oz. He is a big boy. He also got his shots. He did so well with them. He wasn't even fussy that night. I will post some new pics soon.

Vacation

We took our second mini vacation this past weekend. Jamie, Daphne, and Rylee went with us. We had the most fun. Daphne and I kept thinking just how much spring breaks have changed for us. We spent time shopping, taking walks, and hanging out by the pool. The kids did so well. I got Jackson some REALLY cute clothes for the winter. We are going to have the most fun vacationing together.
